Mike Ralff

Michael Ralff has been a bassist in the Hudson Valley and beyond for 40 years, playing all genres of music from punk to polka, symphonic music to free jazz, Motown, R&B, disco, blues, country, and whatever else the bandleaders of the area throw at him. Long ago, his father said to him, “You know, you’d probably play better if you just stood still.”  To which he replied: “Yeah, probably, but then I wouldn’t be having nearly as much fun!” And he wants to continue to have fun until they put him in the pine box, bass in hand.
